The Will of Thomas Rawlinson 6 Feb 1810
Died 21 July 1811
Will executed 12 August 1811
In the Name of God, Amen. I Thomas Rowlinson of the Parish of Wolstanton in the County of Stafford, Bricklayer, being very weak in Body but of perfect
mind and Memory thanks be given unto God calling
unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing
that it is appointed for all Men once to die, ? make and ordain this my last will and testament; that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hand of the mighty God that gave it
and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried
in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors .but at the general resur-rection I shall receive the same by the Mighty power of God. - And as touching such Worldly Estate morewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life,
I give , demise, and dispose of the same in the following
Manner and form
First I give and bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Nanny Rowlinson ushorn I likewise constitute, make and ordain the sole executrix of this my last will and testament when the Goods are sold fifteen pounds
before the other five have anything and then
share and share alike with these after - D?? with
James Rowlinson, Thomas Rowlinson, Robert Rowlinson, Sally Bern and Betty Andrew's Children -
Ellin and Ann Andrew. The Executrix to keep
or put into some substantial persons hand those
they Marry or come of Age whatever their share
is - And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, an
d dis????l all and every other former testament
before ????ed willed and bequeathed; ratifying
and confirming this and no other to be my last
will and testament. In witness more of I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixth
Day of February one Thousand Eight Hundred and
Ten.
Signed, sealed, published, ?????ced , and declared by the same Thomas Rowlinson as his last
will and Testament in his ????? and in the
presence of each other, have hereto subscribed our names.
