ELIZABETH MELLARD, wife of Joseph Mellard, of Newcastle, Staffs., tanner. Will dated 13 July 1822. Whereas by the will of my late father Thomas Me/lard deed, certain monies were given to his wife Jane Mellard for life and then £400 to be at my own disposal, Now I give the same to my husband and appoint him sole exor. Wits., Thos. Stonier and Thos. F. Lovatt. At the time of her death testatrix resided at Bucknall, par. of Stokeupon-Trent; she died 2 Mch. 584. Proved 9 ApI. 1842, by Joseph Me/lard, of Seaforth, or. Liverpool, gent., the husband. Personal estate under £450.
Admon. of her estate granted 15 July 1850, at Lichijeld, to John Bibby, of Liverpool, merchant, one of the exors. of the will of Joseph Mellard deed., whilst living the husband of the said Elizabeth Mellard. Sureties, James Bibby, of Liverpool, merchant, and Maurice Neagle, of Liverpool, bookkeeper. Personal estate under £800. She died Mch. 1841.
JOSEPH MELLARD, of Bucknall, par. of Stoke-upon-Trent, gent. Will dated 11 Mch. 1841. To my sister Maria Mellard, of the Marsh Parade1 in Newcastle, all my ready money, household goods, etc. All money to which I may be entitled under the will of my late wife Elizabeth Mellard, I give to my nephews Joseph MellardBibby, of Linacre Marsh, nr. Liverpool, gent., and John Bibby, of Liverpool, merchant, in trust to invest, etc., and pay the proceeds to my said sister Maria for life, and after her death to pay the principal equally among Ellen Stonier, Jo/on Stonier and Joseph Me/lard Stonier, the three children of my sister Ann Stonier, wife of John Stonier, of Hanley, cabinet maker, to be paid them at 21, and if they die the same to go to my said nephews, Joseph Mellard libby and John libby. Exors., Joseph Mellard Bibby and John libby. Wits., Jeremiah Beardmore, of Bucknall, and Jos. Alcock, of Burslern, solicitor. Proved at Chester 26 Sept. 1844 by John Bibby, power reserved for the other exor. Under £300. Proved at Lichfield 10 July 1850 by John Bibby, power reserved
for the other exor. Under £20.
