ANN MELLARD, of Newcastle, Staffs., widow. Will dated 3 Nov. 1838. I give all my messuages, etc., near the Pool Dam in Newcastle, which descended to me as heir-at-law of my late father John Morgan, and all other my real estate and my household goods, etc., to my sons John Mellard and Samuel Mellard and John Stonier of Hanley, cabinet maker, upon trust to sell, etc., and pay debts, and then divide as follows: To my said son John Me/lard, one sixth share. To my said son Samuel Mellard, one sixth share. To my daur. Elizabeth Mellard, one sixth share. To my grandson Thomas Mellard, son of my late son Thomas one sixth share less £10. To the four children of my late daughter Ann Bayley, one sixth share at 21. To Elizabeth Mellard, the widow of my late son Joseph, the interest of the remaining sixth share less £10 for her life or widowhood, and after her decease or marriage to divide the same sixth share amongst the children of my said son Joseph. The two excepted sums of £10 to be divided into four parts, one to my son John, one to my son Samuel, one to my daur. Elizabeth, and one to the children of my late daughter Ann Bayley. Exors., my sons John Mellard and Samuel Me/lard, and said John Stonier. Wits., Elizabeth Hodgkinson, Hannah Hodgkinson, and Geo. Jones, solicitor, Newcastle. Proved 30 Oct. 1840, at Lichfield, by John Mellard, of Manchester, auctioneer, Samuel Me/lard, of Newcastle, cordwainer, and John Stonier, of Hanley, cabinet maker. Personal estate under £100. Testator died so July 1840.
